SEL 1018

Composition is crucial to capture the best snapshot especially when the subject is dynamic. Even when it is static, if the lighting and the environment is beyond your control, you will loose the best condition to make it great. Imagine if you have a wide angle, those condition above will kill your picture if you do not know how to compose the scene because the wideness of the  area that needs to be filled and composed. I have shot too many and failed 80% of the time when using wide angle. However,  the results of having a good if not great composition when using a wide angle is overwhelming.

Nex5N + SEL1018

I cannot stand my itchy hand for this lens since I first saw it in our Sony centre. I guess I miss the Tokina, but not the weight and size. With this lens, I can have the ultra wide but not the other two bumps. I do not know how to comment on it's IQ, so you judge yourself. Actually I almost wanted to go for the sigma 19mm  but I guess you can call me greedy. Check out my sample image of the sel1018.

This is my favourite sel1018 advantage - I can put on the pen like tiny flexible tripod and still able to take this night shot.

This are some pictures taken using the SEL1018 in Strasbourg France. The NEX5N camera can operate in a sub zero of -5 Degrees (well at least my copy can)
