Thorns of Borneo - Sony Nex5N + SAL3518 in the jungle of Borneo

I was with my in-Laws loitering somewhere in the not so thick jungle near the village and was surprise to see all these thorns.

By the way, I was informed by a trusted source that the Borneo Rainforest Music Festival in Kuching 2012 tickets are at 50% discount till end of April 2012. Check out RWMF.net

NEX5n + LA-EA1 + Tokina 11-16/2.8 sample picture

I was in a shop in Kota Kinabalu and tested this lense (Tokina 11-16/2.8) and took the same test shot with the SEL1855 for comparison.
Almost bought the lense but had a second thought as my budget for the next few month  is tight.

Guess which picture is for which lense?

NOTES: This lense Aperture and AF does not work with NEX + LA-EA1!!!

Sony Nex5n Pictures Editing - FISH ART - HDR Toning + Filter

This is one of the original pictures taken from the Sony Nex5n while we were strolling at Taman Sahabat Kuching.

 Check out the edited ones.

This is my favorite.

This kind of abstract. Don't you think.

How to remove dust on Sony NEX camera sensor ?

When you see some shadow on your image and it does not go away! Relax, it must be the dusts, just like what happen to mine. Check out the sample picture with dust below:

All you need to do is remove the dust by blowing it with this rubber blower (You have to remove the lens first of course). Then, your good to go! Sometimes your dust can  only be detected when you you use small aperture ie. f22. The easiest way to check this is to put in set it to f22 and then zoom at the white cloud.

Oh yes, I did try the sensor cleaning feature, but it seems to be ineffective against stuborn dust.
